Notes from Zack Scholl on making a small computer see, listen, speak, and improvise. Expect piano experiments, midnight aurora alarms, and a lot of machines that almost work.
I was inspired by Dan Tepfer to explore my own universe of augmented piano playing: an artificial intelligence that learns piano in real time and improvises in the breaks between my own playing.

Where the notes live: small computers, software experiments, painting, and the reading shelf.
I write software, paint large animals, and keep trying to teach small computers to do useful things. This site is the long version of the notebook on my desk.
